Job Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting in creating and maintaining a successful football program for the University. This position reports directly to the Head Football Coach and will work with the defense.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Recruiting your position and an assigned area 
• Track academic progress of student athletes within the program 
• Help with the matriculation process for your position group and mentoring your student athletes 
• Coaching your position group's fundamentals and schemes, and preparing and running position meetings 
• Assist in development of productive and meaningful practice schedules 
• Assisting with weekly game planning, film breakdown and data entry (HUDL)
• Other duties assigned by the Head Coach and Coordinator

• Proficiency in public relations
• Proficiency in recruiting students

  Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree
• College level coaching and playing experience preferred

  Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Frequently lifting 25 lbs. or more
• Typically standing or walking
• Typically bending, crouching, stooping
• Typically running, climbing
• Outdoor exposure to weather
• High noise environment
• Must hold valid driver’s license
• May have an alternative work schedule
• May be required to be on-call
• Occasional travel
