About the Position

The Assistant Coach of Track & Field (Distance) is responsible for designing/implementing training plans for the Distance group of the track and field team. Including weight room training and cardio fitness. They are also responsible for the recruitment of the distance group, including phone calls, scouting, emails, and tours of all distance runners. The minimum required days for being on campus for practice/meets is 2-3 days per week and all home/away meets. Weekly meetings to discuss recruiting progress are mandatory with the head coach of cross county/track and field.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience:

• Direct coaching experience working within a collegiate program is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
