About the Position

The Assistant Coach of Track & Field (Throws), is responsible for designing/implementing training plans for the throws group of the track and field team. Including weight room training and cardio fitness. They are also responsible for the recruitment of the throws group, including phone calls, scouting, emails, and tours of all throwers. The minimum required days for being on campus for practice/meets is 2-3 days per week and all home/away meets. Weekly meetings to discuss recruiting progress are mandatory with the head coach of cross county/ track and field.

• Direct coaching experience working within a collegiate program is required.

• Strong communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
