Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Location: Lisle Campus
Position Summary: This position is responsible for assisting the football program.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for coaching a position group. Assigned coaching responsibility will be determined by the Head Football Coach.
Responsible for tracking academic progress of student athletes as assigned by the head coach. This includes but is not limited to; meeting bi-weekly with student-athletes during the school year to track academic progress and following up with student-athletes when they receive academic alerts.
Other duties as assigned.
Other Functions:
-Develop relationships within Benedictine University and the University community.
-Attend departmental and University related meetings and events.
-Maintain a positive student athlete assessment for program from student athletes.
-Work in coordination with University offices and departments to coordinate and facilitate University events.
-Maintain positive relationships with alumni, parents, students, officials, volunteers and fans.
-Serve on University, conference and national committees as needed.
-Positively promote Benedictine University and the Department of Athletics on campus and in the community.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's Degree Preferred
Experience: Previous collegiate coaching preferred along with experience recruiting to a non-scholarship program.
Specific Skills: N/A
Specific Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications: Yes. Organizational skills, writing and typing skills, interpersonal skills, data entry and budget management skills and demonstrated supervisory skills.
Valid Driver’s License required. CPR certification is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to handle varying levels of stress while maintaining professional demeanor. Possible lifting, bending, walking, kneeling, stretching, and stooping. Frequent districtwide and statewide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours; outdoor exposure to sun/heat or cold weather.
Ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand. Understand the speech of another person.
See details of objects that are less than a few feet away or are more than a few feet away. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. General Customer service and office environment.

Working Conditions: Indoor and outdoor environment. Nights and weekends are required.
Training: As a University employee you are required to complete all University-specific and/or OSHA related training to fulfill your job duties. Specific training will be conducted online or in person. Employees must complete all trainings required by Benedictine University.
