Description

Georgia Military College, a two-year college located in Milledgeville, Ga., is seeking a part-time assistant coach for its women’s soccer program. This position is a 12-month position and reports to the women’s soccer head coach. GMC is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA), which is also known as Region 17 in the NJCAA.

The assistant coach is a part-time, contracted position and has the following responsibilities:

• Recruitment and scouting of prospective student-athletes

• Assist head coach with budget planning

• Assist head coach with practices and competition

• Assist head coach with conditioning programs – during the season and off-season

• Assist head coach with academic oversight of women’s soccer student-athletes

• Understand and adhere to the rules and regulations of GMC, GCAA and NJCAA

• Attend high school and other prep competition for recruiting purposes

• Other duties as assigned by the women’s soccer head coach or athletics administration

• Use video equipment to help record matches

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Should have competitive Soccer experience as a player

Preferred Qualifications:
• Coaching experience in Soccer at high school or college level
• Experience in college recruiting
