The College of Idaho is seeking applications for an Assistant Coach for our women’s softball
program with a focus on pitching and infield coaching. As a member of the athletics division, this
position supports the objectives of the head coach in providing administrative and coaching
oversight of our NAIA Division I women’s softball program.
The Assistant Coach assists in the coordination and team operations of the sports program,
provides skill and tactical instruction to student-athletes during training and competition, assists in
the preparation of the team for opponents, organizes and manages team practices, as well as
identifies talent and assists in recruitment efforts.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree preferably in physical education, recreation,
sports management or related field, prior competitive softball or baseball experience required;
collegiate softball or baseball coaching experience preferred. Must have knowledge of, or the

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States as of the expected hire date and
throughout the date of their employment without sponsorship from The College of Idaho. A
current valid driver’s license is also required and the candidate must be vehicle insurable.
