UT Southern is looking for an Assistant Coach of Softball. Reporting directly to the Softball Head Coach, the assistant coach will support the day-to-day activities related to the softball program. Recruiting highly level student-athletes that will thrive under the UT Southern culture that encompasses “WINNING” in the classroom, venue, and in the community. Along with leading the junior varsity program in all aspects from recruiting to games.
This position is expected to attend all varsity team practices, conditioning, and games. The Assistant Coach is also responsible for the coordination of gameday logistics, field maintenance, and teaching activity courses when applicable.
The Assistant Coach will be responsible for all aspects of the junior varsity softball program. This includes tracking student-athlete academic progress, coordinating team study tables, and maintaining the team's social media accounts.
One year of coaching experience as a head or assistant coach at the High School, NAIA, NCAA, or NJCAA level or two years of coaching experience as a graduate assistant.
