Intercollegiate Athletics
Reporting to the Head Women’s Softball Coach the Assistant Softball Coach will be responsible for assisting in all phases of a Division I Intercollegiate Women’s Softball program including, but not limited to:
• Promoting the philosophy and objectives of the University of Missouri Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, including adhering to all Departmental, University, SEC and NCAA rules and regulations.
• Demonstrating the ability to relate to, and motivate, student-athletes and to work with a variety of university staff, alumni, and the outside community
• Assisting with the development in the overall student-athlete experience by mentoring student-athletes including evaluating their performance in practice and competition while providing leadership and instruction in areas of deficiencies as required, but including individual and small group film and training sessions.
• Assist with on the field coaching duties to include technical development and functional training sessions.
• Assisting with implementing recruiting strategy, statistical analysis of prospective student-athlete date and assisting in off campus recruiting and evaluation of potential student-athletes.

• Participating in the collection and analysis of tactical and statistical data of opponent tendencies and assisting in designing scouting reports and match strategies.
• Performing other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach and/or the assigned sport administrator or Director of Athletics.
• The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in off-campus recruiting, budgeting, strong organization skills, excellent communication skills in addition to strong leadership abilities.
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; Nights, Weekends, and Travel as required.
A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience as a NCAA Division I softball coach.
Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000
