Examples of Work Performed

Assist with coaching for the Softball program

Provide softball instruction and development for student athletes.

Knowledge of and compliance with all rules and changes that occur in the sport of softball including

NCAA

rules and regulations

Assist with camps, game, and tournament organization and supervision

Assist with recruiting for the Softball program

Coordinate Chadron State College campus visits for athletes

Knowledge of, and compliance with,

NCAA

rules and regulations concerning recruiting and eligibility

Coordinate team laundry

Secondary Duties:

Check study halls and classes for athletes’ participation

Assist with game operations for all home basketball games

Assist with athletic team and department fundraising initiatives

Related duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree plus coaching experience.

Must have knowledge of

NCAA

rules and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience coaching softball

Physical Demands

The physical requirements for this position may include, but are not necessarily limited to, the ability to use a computer, calculator, telephone, keyboard, and/or various types of office equipment. Must be able to effectively communicate in verbal and written formats and satisfactorily perform the functions of this position. Some lifting of equipment may be require
