Typical duties of a strength professional including: design and implement strength and conditioning programs specific to the student-athletes' needs, assess and reassess progress to gain insight on physical preparedness, and collaborate with other professionals within the department (sport coaches, athletic trainers, physical therapists, administrators, academic advisors) to offer the highest quality of coaching to the student athletes. In addition to those duties the Assistant Coach, Strength & Conditioning will provide leadership to the Director of Strength & Conditioning to spearhead all continuing education efforts for the Strength & Conditioning area.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related field. Must have a minimum of three years of experience working with collegiate athletes, preferably at the Division-1 level.
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association or Certified or Strength and Conditioning Coach certified from the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association. CPR/AED certified.
Experience at the Division-1 level.
A background check will be required.
