Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Assistant Coach, Track & Field, will assist the head coach with the organization, development, and implementation of a competitive

NCAA

Division I Track & Field program that competes at the highest level. This position will have primary coaching responsibilities in the sprint events while also supporting in other event areas as needed. Applicants must have

NCAA

Division I coaching experience in the sprint event areas. Expertise in other event areas is valued. Additional responsibilities include daily operations, recruiting, fundraising, community service, alumni outreach, and additional related tasks as assigned by the head coach. The Assistant Coach will be expected to develop and maintain effective interaction with students, colleagues, university staff, alumni, and the general public. Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required along with Level I Track & Field certification.

Experience:

Direct coaching experience working within a collegiate program is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.

Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to

NCAA

and Big Ten Conference rules as well as University policies.
