Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach
Long Island University (LIU), an NCAA DI institution, is seeking an Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach. The Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach supports the Head Coach in managing an NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse program. This role involves coaching and mentoring student-athletes, recruiting top high school talent, devising game strategies, and organizing physical training and practice sessions.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Coaching practice sessions, workouts, and competitions.
• Recruiting and identifying potential student-athletes
• Assists the Head Coach and Assistant Coach in the management of the overall program as directed.
Required Qualifications
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication & computer skills, necessary
• Demonstrated ability to work with and relate well to students
• Excellent sport specific technical, tactical and strategic knowledge.
• Possess a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree (foreign equivalent or higher)
• One-to-two years of full-time experience working in collegiate or professional Athletic Business operations.
• Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of NCAA and designated conference rules and compliance practices.
Perferred Qualifications
• Two-to-Four years of full-time experience working in collegiate or professional Athletic Business operations.
