Rider University, an
NCAA
Division I institution and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (
MAAC
), seeks an individual for the position of Assistant Coach Women’s Basketball. Individual will assist the Head Women’s Basketball Coach in managing all aspects of a competitive
NCAA
Division I basketball program. Duties include recruiting, teaching, motivation, organization, practice and game planning.
Bachelor’s Degree
Demonstrated successful collegiate coaching experience.
Candidate must have strong demonstrated knowledge of the game of basketball and the ability to recruit quality student-athletes.
Strong communication skills are required to recruit, teach, motivate, and develop college-age student-athletes in a team-building environment.
Experience in program organization, practice and game planning, and scouting of opponents.
Candidate must have a strong demonstrated working knowledge, and willingness to comply, with
NCAA
, conference, state, university, and athletic department rules and regulations.
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
Satisfactory background and/or
DMV
checks required
Master’s degree with 3-5 years of successful experience in women’s basketball.
The ability to utilize technology to breakdown film for individual and team teaching purposes.
