Student and Campus Life (SCL) inspires transformation in all Cornell students on their journey of individual, academic and personal evolution. Our division is comprised of leading student affairs experts who support our campus on pressing student life matters including public service, health, wellbeing, connection and belonging, residential living, food services, sports, recreation, career services, and student activities and organizations including sorority and fraternity life. We provide support and services to roughly 25,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students on multiple campuses in the U.S. and abroad.

The Assistant Coach for Women’s Field Hockey assists the Head Coach in the planning and operation of the women’s field hockey program at Cornell University. This includes assisting with practice and games, preparation as assigned, and providing input on player evaluation and other decisions concerning team operations. In addition, the Assistant Coach will actively support the scouting of opponents and the breakdown of our own performances. The Assistant Coach also has both on- and off-campus recruiting responsibilities, to identify, encourage and evaluate application and acceptance of student athletes at Cornell in accordance with the Ivy League, NCAA and University policies as assigned by the head coach. The Assistant Coach will play a key role in the development of our program culture and identity.

This is a 12-month per year, full-time position. The salary range is $65,447-$73,720; final offer will depend on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Credentials should reflect proven success in coaching, recruiting, and working with student athletes.
  • Knowledgeable of NCAA rules and regulations.
