Job Description:

Brown University Athletics and Recreation is seeking candidates for the Assistant Coach, Women’s Ice Hockey position. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, and a member of the Ivy League, our intercollegiate athletics program consists of 38 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes who participate within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA-DI).

The Third Assistant Coach, Women’s Ice Hockey is primarily responsible for coaching and developing goaltenders. The Third Assistant Coach is also responsible for supporting the Head Coach in the leadership and development of student athletes. This role focuses on teaching athletic skills, fostering student athlete character, and game strategy. This position is also responsible for executing the daily operations of the program, including but not limited to recruitment coordination, travel arrangements and scheduling.

 

Education and Experience

●        Bachelor’s Degree with 1-2 years of coaching experience. In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, a minimum of 5 years direct related experience is required.

●        Coaching experience in intercollegiate athletics, professional athletics, elite amateur sport, or a comparable competitive environment.
