This part-time position works with the head coach in the supervision and development of an intercollegiate varsity team, including in-season programming of goaltender development, in accordance with institutional and departmental objectives within the rules and regulations of the athletic governing bodies.

This part-time position works with the head coach in the supervision and development of an intercollegiate varsity team, including in-season programming of goaltender development, in accordance with institutional and departmental objectives within the rules and regulations of the athletic governing bodies.
Essential Job Functions
Works with the Head Coach to oversee practices and scheduled contests to provide a positive and competitive experience for student athletes. Primary responsibility is to oversee development of the team’s goaltenders through the use of on-ice and film sessions.
Works with the Head Coach to identify and recruit specifically for the goalie position.
Works with the Head Coach to foster the personal development and competitive spirit of student athletes while supporting their educational experience.
Works with the Head Coach to emphasize and promote academic progress, resulting in strong academic performance, retention and graduation rates.
Attends a limited number of recruitment trips to recruit student athletes to develop a successful, competitive Athletic program.
Attends all home contests; attends away contests when possible.
Provides recommendations to the head coach on team line up and game strategy.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Located in Providence, Rhode Island, and a member of the Ivy League, our intercollegiate athletics program consists of 34 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes who participate within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA-D1).
All division employees are required to demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules and regulations; the duties of the position are to be performed in compliance with all NCAA, Ivy League rules and regulations; and any rules violations on behalf of themselves or any knowledge of violations within the division are to be reported to the compliance office and appropriate parties. Employees in coaching positions must receive annual rules education on NCAA legislation related to recruiting by the compliance office and maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid certification (certification is available at no cost through the Division).

Education and Experience
Required Qualifications
Minimum of an undergraduate degree or a combination of education/certification(s) and/or experience suitable for the position.
Moderate amount of experience with athletic coaching, collegiate playing, or other related experience.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and
computer skills, necessary.
Demonstrated ability to work with and relate well to
students.
Excellent sport specific technical, tactical and strategic
knowledge.
Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse
perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
First Aid, CPR, AED certification, or willingness to attain such certification(s) upon hire.

Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.
