Assistant Coach, Women's Lacrosse

Purpose of the Position:

The Assistant Coach, Women's Lacrosse will assist the Head Lacrosse Coach in team management and administration to support and reinforce the Athletics department and University goals.

The Assistant Coach, Women's Lacrosse will assist the Head Lacrosse Coach in team management and administration to support and reinforce the Athletics department and University goals.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Recruit and evaluate quality student athletes

• Train, teach and provide instruction to student-athletes both on and off of the field

• Help to Maintain compliance with NCAA departmental and University rules and regulations

• Assist in establishing game plans

• Scout opponents

• Coordinate Team Travel

• Maintain correspondence with recruits

• Assist with preparing the budget

• Assist with program fundraising efforts

• Coordinate film exchange

• Coordinate game day management

• Organize information for visiting teams

• Coordinate equipment purchase and maintenance

• Maintain positive public relationships with the university and community

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Must have coaching experience at the college level

• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

• Must have basic accounting skills

• Must have excellent interpersonal written and communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree is preferred

• Knowledge of Sports Management is desired
