| Education/experience |
An advanced degree in physical education, sports science or related field or equivalent training, education or experience is required. Coaching and recruiting experience in women’s lacrosse at the collegiate level is required.

| Job Summary |
Teaches proper skills, skill development, and strategies to student-athletes to include instruction of physical health, team concepts and safety. Under the supervision of the head coach, designs instructions for individual student-athletes and for specific team needs. Monitors and supports appropriate team conduct during competition, travel, and when the student-athletes are representing Radford University. Maintains strict adherence to NCAA, Big South Conference, and institutional rules and regulations. Assists with the development of effective recruitment strategies, recruitment, and follow up in identifying and assessing academic eligibility through RU Admissions and NCAA Initial Eligibility Clearinghouse. Assesses talent through observation and communication with coaches and other high school/college officials. Assists in the development of team schedules, travel itineraries and requests for transportation, meals, and lodging. Controls the use of related athletic facilities and equipment. Assists in the monitoring of the academic progress of student-athletes. Performs additional duties assigned by the head coach or Director of Athletics.

| Required Qualifications |
Coaching and recruiting experience in Women’s Lacrosse at the collegiate level. Ability to demonstrate and teach advanced skills, knowledge, and strategies of the sport of women’s lacrosse; knowledge of NCAA recruiting and compliance procedures; ability to exercise independent discretion and judgment as to the manner and method of teaching and the ability to work independently without direct supervision; excellent interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, and effective written and oral communication skills.

Experience at the Division I level with an emphasis placed on recruiting knowledge and abilities.
