Stanford’s Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation (“DAPER”) is the premier intercollegiate athletics program in the country. We are the proud Home of Champions! We are seeking an Assistant Coach for Stanford Women’s Lacrosse to support the Head Coach with all aspects of program development and daily operations. This position focuses on enhancing team performance through structured training sessions, positional development, strategy, mentorship, and recruiting in alignment with NCAA and University policies. The ideal candidate will bring deep lacrosse knowledge and teaching expertise, a passion for player development and tactical strategy, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding the high standards of Stanford Athletics. This role is an onsite fixed-term position. 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Head Coach in planning and organizing team training, game strategy, player development, and player mentorship
  • Assist with recruiting student-athletes to compete at Stanford. Follow NCAA guidelines and University standards and policies in coordinating recruiting efforts. This includes daily recruiting database management, regular phone calls with club and high school coaches, recruiting campus tours and visit logistics, traveling for recruiting events during the months of November, June, & July, and working camps that will aid in our recruiting efforts.
  • Regular use of ScoreBreak and JustPlay Sports Solutions for:
  • Film analysis and video clipping to aid in player development 
  • In-season scouting of opponents and video breakdown. Preparation of scouting report to head coach and team.
  • Assist with operations such as video replay, logistics during team travel, equipment and apparel distribution, team events, alumni engagement, and other duties assigned.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of Stanford Lacrosse Camps.
