The Assistant Coach, Women’s Rowing will perform administrative duties, on water instructional education and support in recruiting efforts under the direction of the Head Coach of the Stanford Women's Rowing program. This position is based on the Stanford main campus. This is a one year fixed-term role.

The Assistant Coach, Women’s Rowing will perform administrative duties, on water instructional education and support in recruiting efforts under the direction of the Head Coach of the Stanford Women's Rowing program. This position is based on the Stanford main campus. This is a one year fixed-term role.

Your responsibilities include:

• Exhibiting a sincere interest in the emotional, social and academic development of student-athletes
• Teaching on water sport-specific skills to develop student-athletes
• Demonstrating cooperative behavior in pursuing program goals
• Identifying and recruiting academically qualified student-athletes
• Following NCAA guidelines and University standards and policies in coordinating recruiting efforts
• Assisting in the planning and transportation of student-athletes to competitions
• Arranging transportation for student-athletes to practices
• Facilitating the transportation of equipment to competitions
• Assisting with equipment maintenance and upkeep
• Displaying leadership and professional behavior in developing student-athletes
• Contributing to the maintenance of a good working relationship with all members of DAPER
• Applying the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with adherence to NCAA, PAC12 and University regulations
• Assisting in the management and instruction of summer programing
• Passing the NCAA recruiting exam on an annual basis
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach of Stanford Women’s Rowing or their designee

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years collegiate or professional coaching experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Strong interpersonal skills in working with student-athletes, peers and the general public.
• Computer literacy with common office applications such as Word, Excel, G-Suite applications.
• Ability to navigate and manage programs Instagram and Twitter accounts.
• Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of staff and personnel in the Department of Athletics, the University and the community.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License

This position, along with all DAPER coaches and staff, is responsible for the integrity of Stanford’s intercollegiate athletics program and for the reputation of Stanford University. This position is responsible for ensuring that his/her/their involvement with Athletics Department activities maintains the integrity of the University’s reputation and does not negatively impact the relationship between the University and its faculty, staff, students and alumni. Additionally, this position must comply with University policies and procedures, NCAA and Pac-12 rules and regulations.

The expected pay range for this position is $66,560 - $69,000 per annum.
