Anderson University is a comprehensive, liberal arts institution whose 400 athletes and 21 teams compete in the NCAA Division II, within the South Atlantic Conference.Anderson University is affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention and candidates with a strong Christian value system and lifestyle are encouraged to apply.
The Assistant Coach is responsible, in coordination and in support of the Head Coach, for the development and maintenance of an effective and competitive NCAA Division II women’s soccer program. This position will assist with administration, recruitment and retention of all student athletes by developing a supportive Christian faith culture within the program while adhering to all NCAA rules and regulations. Additional responsibilities include scheduling home and away games and coordinating all travel and meal accommodations, editing game film, and managing women’s soccer related content on all social media platforms, with the goal of promoting women’s soccer in the Anderson community.
Knowledge equivalent to that gained through completion of a bachelor’s degree in addition to prior work experience in collegiate athletics programs is required, master’s degree preferred. Goalkeeper coaching experience preferred. Knowledge and compliance of all rules and guidelines set by the NCAA Division II and South Atlantic Conference is necessary. Ability to uphold confidentiality, work collaboratively and exhibit Anderson University’s Christian mission through all interactions also required. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills essential.
