Description

Snow College, located in Ephraim, Utah, is seeking an assistant soccer coach, for its highly competitive men’s soccer program. Snow competes in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and in the Scenic West Athletic Conference. Since the program's inception in 2016, the team have advanced to the Region Eighteen Tournament seven times, NJCAA National Tournament three times, won three conference titles, and regularly been nationally ranked. The program has also transferred several dozen players to NCAA and NAIA programs.
This position will assist in identifying and recruiting qualified soccer players that can receive regular admission to Snow College. Assists the Head Coach with program needs that include but not limited to: in game and practice session coach, improve student-athlete skill level through individual and video instruction, and academic monitoring of team members.

Qualifications

  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in addition to meeting MQ or EQ standards, candidate must have prior club (U16 or older), varsity high school and/or collegiate coaching experience. Preferred Qualifications: Collegiate playing experience; club and high school contacts in Utah or throughout the Western United States
  • Travel Outside of Normal Business Hours

  • Current knowledge of applicable rules and standards of the affiliated athletic conference, the National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association (NJCAA), as well as other associations and agencies to which the campus adheres, and, at all times avoid any and all violations of these rules and standards.
  • Demonstrated effective problem-solving and communication skills, verbally and in writing.
  • Specialized knowledge of the team sport, as well as basic technical expertise in coaching principles.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making; be an effective problem solver and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with athletic participants
