Job Description Summary

Shawnee State University Athletics invites applications for the position of Assistant Coach for the Women’s Soccer Program. The Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach in all aspects of the program, including coaching, recruiting, training, practice planning, and administrative duties. This individual plays a key role in the development and success of student-athletes, both on and off the field.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assists with on-campus recruitment of student-athletes.
2. Assists in coaching and game preparation as assigned by Head Coach.
3. Assists with budget preparations, as requested.
4. Assists with development of schedules for practice and competition, including making travel arrangements.
5. Monitors condition of equipment and facilities, requests repairs or replacement, as necessary.
6. Participates in clinics, exhibitions and camps, as approved.
7. Assists in monitoring the academic progress and eligibility status of student athletes.
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE)

Bachelor’s degree or the successful experience in playing and/or coaching the sport.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Successful experience in playing and/or coaching the sport at the college level is preferred.

Working Conditions: Physically fit for the sport activities. Subject to inside and outside environment conditions.
