Summary Queens University of Charlotte’s Royals began their four-year transition into the Division I ASUN Conference on July 1, 2022. The Assistant Coach will work in full collaboration and support of the Queens Athletics Department vision, supporting the Women's Soccer Team staff, team and players in their efforts to build a championship caliber program. The Assistant Coach will abide by all NCAA, institution and program expectations and rules. This is a position that comes with a lot of opportunity for professional development in the role and beyond, head coach is focused on providing a supportive and challenging space for staff and players to achieve based on their individual goals, within the team and program construct. Assistant Coach will be the primary coach for our goalkeepers; however, this is not a Goalkeeper only position. Assistant Coach is expected to work with and be able to instruct the entire team in a high-capacity manner.
This position is considered a Responsible Employee for purposes of the university’s Sexual Misconduct Policy. As such, this position is required to report any incident of sexual misconduct or interpersonal violence to the university’s Title IX Coordinator when made aware of such.
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible,12-month position that reports to the Head Coach of Women’s Soccer. This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is not eligible to earn overtime pay or compensatory time off for additional hours worked. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Assist with recruiting and scouting within NCAA regulations and Queens’ academic admissions standards, including develop database, call potential recruits, plan and organize recruiting trips, and accurately and timely complete all paperwork associated with those efforts.
Assist student-athletes with individual performance and provide leadership/direction for improvements.
Assist with all aspects of game plan preparation, practice organization, and off-season training programs.
Participate in alumni relations, fundraising activities, and other program communication and relationship-management as appropriate.
Provide informal support to student athletes in academic and personal matters.
