Job Summary:

Highlights of the Rollins College Women's Soccer Program (est. 1997) NCAA Division II National Finalists- 2014 NCAA Division II Tournament Appearances- 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2018 NCAA Division II Tournament South Region Champions- 2014 Sunshine State Conference Regular Season Champions- 2008, 2009, 2012 Sunshine State Conference Tournament Champions- 2009, 2013, 2014 2019 NCAA participants 2019 SSC Regular season champions The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach reports to the Head Women’s Soccer Coach. The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in carrying out all activities necessary to accomplish the objectives of this sport within the guidelines of the NCAA, Sunshine State Conference (SSC), and Rollins College.Primary responsibilities include: Coordinating activities through the Head Coach Assisting Head Coach in recruiting, instructing, and retaining highly skilled student-athletes for the women’s soccer team Providing instruction to soccer student-athletes on the fundamentals, details and strategies of women’s soccer as outlined by the Head Coach Motivating the student-athletes to be successful both in their sport and in their academics Adhering to all policies and regulations of the Director of Athletics, Rollins College, SSC, and NCAA Assisting with the marketing and promotion of soccer Counseling student athletes in sport participation, personal development, and academics Working with the Admissions Office to enroll student-athletes Assisting in monitoring student-athlete’s academic progress In consultation with Advancement Services and the Athletic Director, assist in fundraising in both women’s soccer and with major fundraisers in the Athletic Department Assisting Head Coach in developing game strategies Maintaining confidential records and information on student-athletes in paper files and recruiting software programs Interacting with diverse populations including the college community and the public to increase support and knowledge of soccer Scouting and preparing material on opponents either at games or by reviewing game film Working summer camps and recruiting camps Assisting with team travel Assisting with inventory/purchasing of equipment and gear Coordinating visiting team requests Assisting in game scheduling for Championship and Non-Championship seasons Assisting with alumni relations Assisting with game set up home and away Evaluating of goal keepers in recruiting field

Minimum Qualifications & Education:

Bachelor's degree is required. Possess a valid driver’s license, or ability to obtain an Florida driver's license within 30 days of accepting the job, and acceptable MVR are required. A proven record of integrity, high principles and demonstrated skill in developing and motivating student athletes academically and athletically. Ability to travel and recruit student athletes. Knowledge of all policies and regulations of Rollins College NCAA, and SSC. Computer skills essential with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
