This is a 9-month, part-time position working August through April as an Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach for a high-level NCAA Division II soccer program. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic and energy and be committed to the Ferris State University Athletic Department’s vision and core values. This position will work 12 hours per week for 40 weeks.
Staff
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
High School and/or College Coaching experience, with head coaching experience preferred.
Office Environment Bending Carrying Inclement Weather Moving Reaching Sitting Twisting Driving Lifting Pulling/Pushing Repetitive Movement Standing
United States Soccer Federation and/or United Soccer Coaches License preferred.
Assist Head Coach with the daily operations of running a NCAA Division II soccer program. Including but not limited to: planning and implementing practice sessions, game planning, scouting, video and data analytics, evaluating prospective student-athletes, assisting with fundraising and camps as well as other duties as assigned by head coach and athletic department. Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members. Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
