Posting End Date: Open until filled.
Hours: 40 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm, flexibility is required on evenings and weekends
FLSA status: Exempt
Earliest Start Date: As soon as possible.
Salary : $40,000 annually.

Summary:** ** Responsible for assisting in the administration of all areas related to the success of a Division I Intercollegiate Softball program.

Statement of Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruiting student-athletes on and off campus.
Supervising academic progress of student-athletes.
Scouting of opponents.
Serving as a liaison to the Diamond Club (Softball Fundraising Arm).
Coordinate clinics, volunteer activities and fundraisers for the softball program.
Involvement in the El Paso softball community.
Scheduling games.
Planning, management, and evaluation of softball practice.
Developing strategy and bench coaching during softball matches.
Assisting with the administration of summer softball camps and the planning of conditioning programs.
Assisting with the development of post-season and summer individual improvement programs.
Complies with all State and University policies.
Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Minimum Education required: ** **
Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum Experience required:** **
One year of coaching and/or playing experience, related to the statement of duties and responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education/Experience:
Knowledge and skill relating to the game of softball.
Public relations and promotion skills.
Knowledge of NCAA and C-USA Rules and Regulations, including recruiting, eligibility and certifications.
