| Position Overview |
The assistant coach position assists the head coach with activities including practice, meets, and recruitment. This position is integral to the development of the individual student-athlete both mentally and physically. This position provides teaching and mentoring to team members to drive them to perform at their highest level. This position is also critical to creating a sense of camaraderie, leadership development and a presence in the community utilizing the coaches and the student-athletes.

| Duties and Responsibilities |
1. Recruiting Manager: Manage day-to-day correspondence with recruits. Recruit on the road. Coordinate logistics for all on-campus visits.
2. Player development: Work with student athletes to achieve their maximum ability to generate success. Work with head coach to develop programming around leadership for student-athletes.
3. Fundraising: Raise additional funds for program that will help support success. Coordinate all aspects of annual fundraiser (auction items, participants, etc.) Give Marquette Day, Alumni Events. Coordinate service opportunities within the community for staff and student-athletes.
4. Administrative Duties: Social media account assistance in coordination with Athletics Communication staff members. Travel logistics – assist with planning. Equipment – assist with orders and inventory. Practice Logs – help maintain completion and submission to Compliance as required by the NCAA.
5. Assist head coach with meet scheduling and scouting as requested.
6.Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.

| Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities |
Bachelor’s degree
A minimum of one year of experience playing and/or coaching swimming.
Strong working knowledge and experience within the sport of swimming.

Experience at college level preferred.
