Position Highlights

The Assistant Coach for Women’s Volleyball is a fulltime position reporting to the Head Coach and assisting in all facets of a Division I volleyball program. The prime responsibility is to recruit, develop and monitor the athletic and academic progress of student-athletes according to the University of Arizona, the department, Pac-12 Conference and NCAA policies and procedures. Duties & Responsibilities

Recruitment of all student-athletes in the following positions: middle blocker, setter, outside hitter, and liberoLead trainerAssist in the scouting of opponentsHire and manage team managersDemonstrate and apply knowledge of all applicable NCAA rules and regulations while fulfilling prescribed dutiesThe ability to break down and analyze game filmFluent in VolleystationOther duties as assigned by the head coachKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulationsCommitment to academic and athletic successStrong organizational and administrative skillsSound written and verbal communication skillsPossess a working knowledge of NCAA rulesAbility to problem solve and make decisionsAbility to multi-task with frequent interruptionsDedication and motivation to initiate, lead and support value-added projectsMeticulous attention to detailSelf-motivated, results-oriented, and has a positive demeanorDemonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to plan, establish priorities and successfully manage multiple priority projectsDemonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relationsDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, and project a positive, professional attitude

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s DegreeTwo years of Division I Volleyball coaching experienceValid driver’s license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy. Must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends and will need to travel for work
