Stanford’s Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation (“DAPER”) is the premier intercollegiate athletics program in the country. We are the proud Home of Champions! We lead the nation with 139 NCAA championship titles and a legacy of sustained excellence, including multiple Women’s Capital One Cup victories, and have brought home the Learfield Director’s Cup 26 times.  We support nearly 900 student-athletes who compete on 36 intercollegiate athletics teams and also support the university’s physical education, recreation, and wellness initiatives. Stanford Athletics is seeking an Assistant Coach, Women’s Water Polo to assist the Head Women’s Water Polo coach with recruiting, coaching, and developing a championship-caliber team. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: coaching student-athletes, recruiting, game management, video coordination, scouting, statistics and analytics, practice organization, player development, external relations, engaging with athletic department colleagues and faculty, camps, compliance, travel, and other administrative duties as assigned. This role is an onsite fixed-term role. 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Help plan and organize team training and practice sessions.
  • Assist with recruiting student-athletes to compete at Stanford. Follow NCAA guidelines and University standards and policies in coordinating recruiting efforts.
  • Understand and apply NCAA regulations to all aspects of the program. Must pass an exam on an annual basis on NCAA regulations. 
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or her designee.
