Student and Campus Life (SCL) inspires transformation in all Cornell students on their journey of individual, academic and personal evolution. Our division is comprised of leading student affairs experts who support our campus on pressing student life matters including public service, health, wellness, social justice, residential living, food services, sports, recreation, career services, and student activities and organizations including sorority and fraternity life. We provide support and services to roughly 25,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students on multiple campuses in the U.S. and abroad.

The Assistant Coach for Wrestling supports the head coach in the planning and operation of the Wrestling program. This includes assisting with identification, evaluation, and ongoing recruitment of prospective athletes in accordance with Ivy League, NCAA, and University policies, with on- and off-campus recruiting responsibilities that may require travel. The Assistant Coach assists with administering various aspects of sports as assigned by head coach (i.e. expense monitoring, alumni contact, equipment management, scheduling, team travel arrangements, etc.), as well as supporting practice planning.

Currently searching for one Assistant Coach position. This position is full-time, 11 months per year, and benefits eligible. Salary range is $80,000-$95,000; final offer will depend on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or other formal four-year training program in a related field with at least 2 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and playing/coaching experience
  • Credentials should reflect proven success in coaching, recruiting, and in working with student athletes
  • Knowledgeable of NCAA rules
  • Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.
  • Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
