The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics competes at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics with the vision to reach Next Level Success for all 18 varsity teams and more than 500 student-athletes. The Bearcats have a proud athletics history, winning eight national championships and 117 conference titles. The Cincinnati men's basketball team is among the 15 winningest programs all-time, while the football team became the first American Athletic Conference program to compete in the College Football Playoff in 2021. Olympic gold medalist volleyball player Jordan Thompson, NBA Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson and Major League Baseball legend Sandy Koufax are among the several luminaries who have competed as Bearcats.

UC student-athletes collectively posted a 3.4 overall GPA in the spring of 2023, resulting in 11 consecutive semesters of a 3.3 department GPA or higher.

Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati (UC), Football program is seeking applications for an Assistant Creative Videographer. This is a full-time position, with a comprehensive benefits package. Reporting to the Director of Creative Media for Football the Assistant Creative Videographer will assist in the execution of artistic, cinematic video, hype pieces, and social media content that highlight staff, coaches and student-athletes to generate excitement around the football program while following University of Cincinnati and departmental policies, NCAA Division I, and Conference bylaws and regulations.

The position requires some evening and weekend hours.

Essential Functions

• Work closely with department lead to edit videos and photos for a variety of promotional purposes.
• Incorporate music, video, static & motion graphics, and VoiceOver to tell compelling and visually pleasing stories.
• Aid in the creation of recruiting content and all video needs of the recruiting staff.
• Attend university and athletic events to capture content.
• Work closely with department lead to meet deadlines for release of content.
• Setup and tear down video, photograph, and audio equipment before and after events.
• Keep equipment in good working order.
• Support day to day operations in logging and archiving of footage.
• May be required to drive a university vehicle and/or student-athletes.
• Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Experience capturing and editing video.
