Lycoming College is hiring an Assistant Cross Country Coach

Lycoming College, one of the nation’s oldest residential liberal arts and sciences colleges, invites candidates for its part-time Assistant Cross Country coach position .

This position is responsible for assisting the Head Coach with all aspects of Lycoming College’s NCAA Division III cross country program and will be expected to abide by and uphold the regulations of the NCAA Division III and Middle Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Corporation and Landmark Conference. Specific duties will include the recruitment of qualified student athletes, conducting and assisting with practices and competitions, inventory equipment and monitoring student athletes’ academic progress.

This position is a part-time position that works from August through April for a total of (500 scheduled hours) for a total of $3,625 annually.

What will I do in this role?
Coaching (75%) - Assist with organizing and conduct practices, conditioning programs and competitive events. Instruct student-athletes with sound principles and expert skills related to Cross Country, prepare individual athletes and team for matches, set season goals and motivate students using techniques that meet the needs of the students and that are consistent with the Lycoming College athletic program philosophy.
