This position will require to oversee Champions of Character program of the NAIA, to attend and represent Athletics in all requested or required Pacific Union College meetings, and committees. Supervise the NAIA academy program, to promote and market our clubs and leagues programs, intramural programs, and events in our facilities. Also, the Associate Athletics Director, may be required to take the CDL Class B test, and be ready to drive teams when needed.
Essential Duties: [Note: AAD may be asked to either take lead or be support of each of the following tasks]
Adhere to the NAIA Champions of Character program. o Oversee Student-Athletes Advisory Committee
Helping to create and oversee the implementation of community service projects
Adhere to all Pacific Union College, NAIA, and Conference policies and regulations.
Responsible for the publicity efforts of the college’s NAIA varsity intercollegiate athletics programs, Clubs and leagues, Intramurals, and facilities.
Be involved, as requested, in the development of fundraising opportunities to benefit the athletics department and each team in it.
Participate in regular meetings with student workers, facilities manager, and athletics director
Oversee and manage Game Day Operations.
Oversee and manage Recreation & Intramurals.
Responsible for the duties of Sports Information Ability to problem-solve, multi-task, meet deadlines and to resolve issues under intense time constraints and pressures.
Manage post-season deadlines as it relates to the NAIA and Cal Pac.
Manage and maintain an inventory of athletic facility equipment.
Be open and ready to take duties assigned by the Athletics Director and VP for Student & Spiritual Life.
Desirable Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. (The College may agree to a period of grace for completion/certification)
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in facility and operations event/game management required.
Management in a collegiate or professional venue environment.
Thorough knowledge of all NAIA, and Institutional rules governing the conduct of intercollegiate athletics, particularly regarding facility and game operations matters.
