Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area and two (2) years of accounting, finance, business, and/or human resources experience. Relevant experience may substitute for required education.
The Department of Athletics is especially interested in persons with experience in preparing NCAA and Conference reports.Must be able to comply with Athletic department, University, TBR, and NCAA policies and procedures.This position is posted until filled. The department will begin screening immediately.
Monday – Friday8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.Some evenings and weekends may be required.

Job Duties
Reconcile income statement and balance sheet accounts to supporting documentation including monthly/quarterly reconciliation of ticket sales, accounts payable, accounts receivable, deferred revenue, prepaid expenses, etc.
Assist with creation, updates, and coordination distribution of monthly budget reports for all sports and administrative units. Assist with monitoring budget performance and alert leadership of any potential issues.
Assist with contracts, including for various sport games, to include ensuring appropriate review, obtaining approvals, organizing documentation, and tracking of key terms/deadlines. Processing payments related to game guarantees specified in game contracts. Serve as secondary support for the submission of athletics invoices and reimbursements.
Assist with daily deposits of cash/checks and accurate recording of credit/other sales. Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained for audit purposes and compliance with appropriate policies and procedures.
Initiate the hiring process via WorkforUM for full-time staff members, including submission of screening applicant pool results and hiring proposals. Initiate moving allowances, University separations, and cellphone allowances for full-time staff members.
Review and approve bi-weekly timesheets and monthly leave reports. Review payroll for car report charges, Nike elite taxation charges, and allowance payouts. Assist HR and Senior Leadership in the monitoring and communication of needed actions, action status, etc.
Perform quality control review of all financial transactions. Make correcting entries when necessary.
Prepares year-end accounting entries to include, but is not limited to, revenue deferrals, receivables, payables, and transfers
Assist with all financial reporting for the University, NCAA, Conference, etc.
Prepare temporary, student, and graduate assistant e-contracts and manage renewals for contracts.
Provide work direction and training for interns and graduate assistants. Oversee record-keeping performed by interns and graduate assistants. Assists in the development and implementation of internal operating procedures, enforcing rules and regulations, and ensuring the smooth flow of operations.
Assist on home game day with ticketing, event management, etc. as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
