The Assistant Director of Athletic Facility Operations and Event Management reports to the Associate Athletic Director for Operations and Event Management. This position is responsible for many of the athletic facility operations as they relate to set-up and preparation for events. Duties include, but are not limited to, load-in/load-out for events, coordination of game and practice logistics with athletic department personnel, physical set-up and tear-down of athletic contests and special events, and day-to-day facility projects and maintenance at assigned facilities.

As a member of the athletics department staff, it is expected that the Assistant Director of Athletic Facility Operations and Event Management will have a full understanding of the
NCAA
rules that pertain to the position. It is also expected that the individual in this position will comply with all
NCAA
rules and if he/she becomes aware, or have reasonable cause to believe, that a violation of a rule has occurred he/she will immediately report it to the Director of Athletics or his/her designee.
Oversight of facility maintenance and day-to-day facility operations for assigned facilities –currently this position will be responsible for Scudamore Field at the
NKU
Soccer Stadium (
WSOC
/
MSOC
) and Aker Baseball Complex (
BASE
)
Serve as the primary student employment contact – including recruitment, hiring, and training of student workers and federal work study students and scheduling them for events and activities as needed
Serve as liaison with University Facility Management and Operations with respect to assigned athletic facilities; performs and/or coordinates corrective repairs and preventative maintenance at assigned facilities
Serve as primary event manager for assigned facilities and sports – currently this position will be responsible for Women’s Soccer, Men’s Soccer, and Baseball; serve as secondary event manager, and occasionally primary event manager, for assigned women’s and men’s basketball games as well as external rentals
Schedules and coordinates University Facilities Management operations around assigned events including but not limited to custodial, roads and grounds, parking, etc.
Coordinate computer and phone needs for athletic department staff
Conduct annual inventory audit for athletic department
Assists with Staples and Amazon ordering for department staff members
Assist Associate AD for Operations & Event Management with Adidas ordering and inventory as needed as well s camp operations for coaches’ camps
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (preference would be given to sports industry majors)
Two years of experience; could be full-time or part-time or GA
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays
