Quinnipiac University's Department of Athletics seeks applications for an Assistant Director, Digital Marketing.The Assistant Director, Digital Marketing will assist with marketing and promotional campaigns designed to help increase the Quinnipiac Athletics brand through digital marketing and content creating. The Assistant Director will pioneer the graphic design needs for all marketing elements across the athletic department, including social media content, scoreboard graphics, promotional collateral and other marketing initiatives as needed.
Quinnipiac University is a private, coeducational institution located 90 minutes north of New York City and two hours from Boston. Assist with the annual marketing and promotional campaigns focused on promoting attendance and ticket sales at home athletic sporting events, with a primary focus on Tier 1 programs. Independently create and direct campaigns for assigned sports
Coordinate with Assistant AD to fulfill in-game corporate sponsor initiatives. Develop content for student promotions, giveaways, in-game contests to increase game-day experience
Assist Ticket Office with digital marketing strategies. Execute marketing initiatives to drive attendance and revenues
Collaborate with the Athletic Communications staff to strengthen all athletics social media platforms to engage fans/students to support marketing, promotional and branding initiatives
Manage, hire, and train student staff as part of the digital marketing team
Bachelor's degree required
Master's degree preferred
2-3 years experience in digital content creation to help enhance sports marketing and event management, preferably at a NCAA Division I institution or professional sports organization
Significant skill in the use of computer software and social media platforms to execute graphic design elements of the job
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premier)
An understanding of NCAA rules and regulations
Effective communication and organizational skills, including experience in event marketing, sales, advertising and promotions
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion
