This role joins our team at the Herbst Academic Center (HAC), which is committed to delivering a world-class and comprehensive academic experience to student-athletes by providing the support necessary to develop independent, resourceful learners who graduate and seek personal and professional excellence. The Assistant Director works in partnership with HAC staff and provides overall academic support to the mission of the Herbst Academic Center. This position works directly with student-athletes on designated teams, directs at least one program which includes supervising Academic Coordinator(s), participates in analyzing and making decisions for the planning and direction of services and programs, and develops relationships on campus.
This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program. This shall include adhering to the principles of the Athletic Department's Mission Statement, Core Values, Policies and Procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Big 12 Conference, and the NCAA.

Plan, coordinate, and supervise the academic services provided to student-athletes on the football team and an Olympic sport:
Serve as supervisor for Academic Coordinator(s)
Manage OIT Equipment and Staff Relations with OIT
Serve as decision-maker in the Herbst Academic Center (HAC) as part of Leadership Team
Chair First-Year Program (FYP) Academics Subcommittee, and serve as the Herbst Academic Center liaison to the New Student and Family Programs Office:
