The Athletics Department is seeking an Assistant Director for Compliance. This is a full-time (1.00
FTE
), 12-month, professional faculty position.
The mission of the
OSU
Department of Athletics is to Go Build Excellent, Authentic, Visionary Student-Athletes (GO B.E.A.V.S.).
The position of Assistant Director for Compliance will report to the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Sport Services. The purpose of the position is to assist with the daily operations of the Athletics Compliance Office and make well informed recommendations to the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Sport Services to ensure institutional control in regards to
NCAA
Compliance.
This position reports to the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Sport Services and is responsible for implementing a comprehensive compliance program encompassing all
NCAA
and PAC12 bylaw areas for assigned sports. This includes interpretive responses, waivers, monitoring and education. This individual works closely with coaches, student-athletes and staff and will be prepared to advance professionally in
NCAA
compliance and other areas of athletics administration.

Compliance Program for Assigned Sports – Responsible for interpretive requests, administration, waivers, monitoring and education for assigned Olympic sports covering all
NCAA
, PAC12 and Oregon State regulations.

Serve as unit lead for monitoring efforts, following up with compliance staff to ensure institutional control.

compliance and sport service duties as assigned by the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Sport Services
Bachelor’s Degree in related field
One year experience within Division I athletics (includes former Division I student-athletes, athletics internships, Graduate Assistantship, or full-time/part-time work)
Demonstrated knowledge of
NCAA
rules and regulations.
Experience working effectively with coaches, student-athletes and staff
Excellent interpersonal skills with desire to work with diverse constituencies
A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.

This position is mostly sedentary but may be required to stand at games and events. Some non-standard hours (i.e. weekends, evening events) will be required.
