GENERAL SUMMARY:
Assist the Director for Sports Performance in developing, coordinating and administering a comprehensive sports Nutrition and Wellness Program for the UNIVERSITY intercollegiate sports. The Assistant Director for Sports Performance will also perform professional and administrative services essential for the successful implementation and development of the program. Maintain knowledge and compliance with NCAA, SIAC, and University rules, regulations, and policies.

Irregular hours, outside work, and travel from the office to other locations are required regularly.
QUALIFICATIONS :
REQUIRED: Must have a Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Performance and similar. Weight training certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS ) or (CSCCA). Demonstrated experience as a weight/strength coach at the collegiate level, NCAA or professional level (a minimum of one year of experience is strongly desired).PREFERRED: At least three years of professional experience in post-secondary academic advising within athletics counseling/advising, including direct experience in working with at-risk student-athletes. Knowledge of the NCAA rules and regulations.
