Position Summary
Assist in the administration of the Athletic Department’s Marketing & Promotions that adheres to all University, Horizon League, and NCAA rules and regulations while providing a safe and accepting environment for coaches, staff and student-athletes to grow and develop academically, athletically and encourages personal responsibility, sportsmanship and service to others.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(1) Coordinate, manage or assist with all Athletic Department Sponsors/Advertisers, primarily for Women’s Basketball and Olympic Sports: • Director of Athletic Marketing and Promotions with fulfillment of major sponsors’ packages • Assist in developing and implementing sales plan for identification of corporate sponsors and other advertising leads • Assist in collecting print ads for televised commercial spots and all signage by deadline • Assist in corporate sponsor renewals • Assist in assembling proof of performance packages for all sponsors. • Assist in maintaining communication logs with all sponsors throughout the year • Assist in coordinating sponsor days or promotions with sponsors that have this component as part of the package
2) Develop and coordinate department external promotional efforts/plans for Women’s Basketball and Olympic Sports and assist with Men’s Basketball: • Coordinate and design department’s promotional efforts (table tents, banners, flyers, signs) • Send out e-mails to students, fans, Titan Club members and employees informing them of upcoming events • Attend Visit Days, Orientations and Organizational Fairs to inform attendees of Departmental function • Work closely with other University Departments to cross promote Titan Athletics (Admissions, Student Life, Marketing & Promotions, Alumni Relations) • Distribute pocket schedules and posters • Oversee the Jr Titan Club operation and coordinate implementation with the Athletic Administration Intern
3) Responsible for in-game promotions at home Women’s Basketball events: • Oversee all in-game promotions at all home women’s basketball games; assist with in-game promotions at all home men’s basketball games • Assist in preparing game scripts and logs for all home basketball games • Assist in managing special halftime entertainment, presentations, appearances, giveaways • Assist with oversight of all musical selections, recorded and Pep Band • Assist game management staff with arena appearance
(4) Assist in several ticket initiatives including, but not limited to: • Student Ticket Distribution • Mentor Day • Telemarketing • Faculty / Staff Appreciation Day • Group Attendance Initiatives • Assist in Ticket Office for special events
(5) Assist with Athletic Department special events: • Bus Trips • Roundball Luncheons • Senior Days • Titan Club Open House • Homecoming / Hall of Fame • CAL Club Golf Outing • Titan Golf Outing • Basketball Banquets • Media Day • Academic Honors Luncheon
(6) Attend Athletic Department functions: • Fall Staff Meeting • Winter Staff Meeting • Department Compliance Seminars • Academic Honors Luncheon • Titan Club Annual Event

Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, masters preferred. Minimum 1-2 years’ experience required.
Physical Requirements
Job requires repetitively lifting light weight objects where frequent bending or stooping alternates with lighter activities.
Work Environment
Occasional exposure to objectionable conditions or variations such as those found in variable weather conditions or light industrial settings.
Licenses/Certifications
Drivers license is required.
Salary/Pay Information
Commensurate with experience
Anticipated Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5 pm. Nights and weekends as needed.
