Position Summary
Wabash College seeks candidates for its position of Assistant Director of Admissions. Wabash is a top-60 National Liberal Arts College, member of Colleges That Change Lives, member of the Liberal Arts Colleges Racial Equity Leadership Alliance, and boasts exceptional outcomes by its students and alumni. The College invests significant resources to ensure all of its students can participate in off-campus and international immersion learning experiences, and almost 80% of all Wabash students secure paid internships as undergraduates.
The Assistant Director is responsible for contributing to the overall recruitment efforts of the College and implementing procedures and programs for attracting and matriculating students. The primary function of this position is to manage a domestic recruitment territory and assist in the day-to-day operations of the Enrollment Office.
Responsibilities
Manage a domestic recruitment territory that includes portions of Indiana and non-contiguous states.
Collaborate with coaches recruiting student-athletes from assigned territory.
Assist with general campus visits and programs as assigned.
Complete application review and provide recommendations to Director of Admissions.
Work effectively within a team environment.
Demonstrate a commitment to recruiting a diverse student population.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree is required. Two to four years of experience within a higher education environment and familiarity with selective liberal arts colleges and non-profit organizations; well-developed oral and written communication skills; excellent organizational and analytical skills; ability to work independently and with a team as well as with various constituencies.
