The Office of Admissions is seeking a dynamic, energetic, orientated, equity-minded changemaker to serve as the next Assistant Director of Athletics Recruitment and Enrollment. The Assistant Director for Athletic Recruitment and Enrollment at Nazareth University plays a crucial role in the development and execution of the university’s athletic recruitment and enrollment strategies. This position involves working closely with prospective student-athletes, coaches, and the university admissions office to identify, attract, and enroll talented student-athletes who align with Nazareth University’s mission and values. This position requires an individual with a passion for athletics and a commitment to providing world-class opportunities for students and athletes. The Assistant Director will collaborate closely with various campus partners to achieve enrollment goals.The requirements of this role include:This position is also responsible for managing a geographic territory for new student enrollment, supporting on-campus recruiting and admissions activities, reviewing admissions files, and contributing to the overall goals of the office and the college’s undergraduate enrollment goals.
Recruitment / Prospective Student Outreach (25%) Collaborate with the Athletic Department and AVP for Undergraduate Enrollment to create and implement recruitment strategies for prospective student-athletes. Assist in setting annual recruitment goals and objectives, aligning them with the university’s athletic and academic priorities. Identify and establish communication with potential student-athletes, their families, and high school coaches. Arrange campus visits, interviews, and meetings to introduce prospective student-athletes to Nazareth University’s programs and offerings. Responsible for a recruitment territory that supports the entire First-Year Team. Technology and Data reporting (25%) Manage the frontrush platform. This includes managing and updating enrollment reports and applications through the platform and leading the integration within Slate. This includes the FR PASS system between Front Rush and Slate. Provide continuous training and support of Front Rush to the Atheltic Department. Maintaining ongoing communication with campus partner offices, such as Athletics and Financial Aid, regarding applications. Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports, summarizing information, and identifying trends. Application Review (20%):Application Review and Process: Review and manage admissions files and make recommendations for admission to the AVP for Undergraduate Enrollment. In addition, collaborate with other team members to ensure all of the office’s admissions files get reviewed and assessed to meet deadlines. Liaison (20%): Serves as the liaison between the Athletics Department and the Office of Admissions. Performs admissions-related NCAA database updates and other tasks related to athletic compliance. Meet with coaches and prospective students and families to counsel on the admissions process. Compliance with NCAA Rules: Ensure that all recruitment activities adhere to NCAA rules and regulations. Stay current with NCAA compliance requirements and provide training to coaches and staff as needed. Manage the early reads process. Additional Assignments (10%):Other duties as assigned Cross-train with other operational staff to assist with peak-volume times and vacation coverage as needed.
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a related field and 3 years of related experience Experience in collegiate athletic recruitment or enrollment management. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Exceptional organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Enthusiasm for promoting the university’s athletic programs and academic offerings. Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Superior customer service skills, professional, team player, goal-orientated, and willing to learn An ability to work independently and manage individual responsibilities is a must. Comfort and aptitude in managing, manipulating, and analyzing data files such as Excel Technical proficiency in standard business applications (MS Office Suite, Google Docs, etc.) is a requirement Exceptional organizational skills and ability to attend and prioritize projects. Ability to successfully manage interpersonal working relationships. As appropriate, collaborate with staff in other units and divisions to achieve the goals of the College. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Handles confidential information sensitively and appropriately. High level of self-management and the ability to innovate and solve problems in an often fast-paced environment.
