Lake Erie College, a small, co-educational, four-year, independent liberal arts college located in Painesville, OH, 30 miles east of Cleveland, invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Director of Athletics for Sport Operations. Lake Erie College is an NCAA Division II program that competes in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC). The assistant director is responsible for, but not limited to, the day-to-day duties of overseeing the areas of the athletics facilities’ office, game/event operations and department of athletics student employment. This position serves as the liaison between several College departments, including event management and Physical Plant, as well as externally with the City of Painesville and related entities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
At least two years of facility management and game operations experience.
Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics, rules and regulations of athletic associations and conferences.
Knowledge and skill in using integrated software systems and Microsoft applications.
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and levels and with a diverse body of student-athletes, coaches, administrators and staff.
Strong organizational skills; must be able to handle multiple, competing tasks and prioritize well.
Willingness to take initiative and to be flexible, sometimes under pressure situations.
Growth and "doer" mindset and institutional teamwork ethic.
Creative, strategic, thoughtful, and has a sense of humor.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
All members of the department of athletics are responsible for knowing and following all institutional, Conference and NCAA regulations regarding recruiting and operations of the program. If regulations are not followed and result in a violation, employees are expected to self-report theviolation to the compliance office or to the director of athletics. Additionally, employeesmust understand that those who knowingly violate, conceal, or attempt to cover up violations of NCAA rules shall be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
