Job Summary:

The Assistant Director of Communications, Frog Club, helps the TCU Athletic Development Office (the Frog Club) tell its story. This position is responsible for advancing Frog Club’s visibility with internal and external audiences by using multi-media tools to communicate programs, events, priorities, and initiatives. The Assistant Director sets strategy and tactics for how multi-media tools are used in the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of Frog Club donors.

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

1. Serves as the visionary for how current and prospective Frog Club donors consume the Frog Club brand through various multi-media channels.
   
2. Plays an active role in the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of Frog Club donors, through segmented multi-media outreach initiatives.
   
3. Supports front-line gift officers by drafting, editing, and designing proposals.
   
4. Serves as the primary contact to implement a targeted outreach strategy that includes email, print, digital advertising, social media, text message, and direct mail pieces in support of the promotion of annual giving, capital projects, scholarship endowments, tickets, parking, and sport-specific giving.
   
5. Closely collaborates with Frog Club colleagues, the Office of Loyalty Giving, University Marketing & Communications, Athletics Marketing, and the Athletics Ticket Office for the execution of programs, initiatives and campaigns, driving philanthropic support for TCU Athletics.
   
6. Creates materials and displays for all athletic donor events, premium areas, golf tournaments, and special events for TCU Athletics.
   
7. Serves as the primary contact for all Frog Club social media accounts and collaborates with Athletics social media managers.
   
8. Provides oversight of TCU Frog Club website (tcufrogclub.com), including the day-to-day content management.
   
9. Creates and implements strategies for Digital Advancement with TCU donors and constituents.
   
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, sports marketing, advertising, or graphic design.
• 2 years of experience working in marketing, communications, digital advertising, or graphic design.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Master’s Degree
• Previous experience in an intercollegiate athletic program, professional sports organization, advertising agency, or non-profit organization.
• 5+ years of experience working in marketing, communications, digital advertising, or graphic design.

Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:

• None

Preferred Licensure, Certification, and/or Specialized Training:

• Experience with SIDEARM Sports content management system and Adobe Dreamweaver for web publishing.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of maintaining various social media channels and developing long-term strategies.
• Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics, Texas Christian University, and NCAA regulations.
• Knowledge of marketing best practices utilized to help tell a story to a broad audience.
• Skill in multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Skill in written and verbal communication skills.
• Skill in creatively authoring compelling materials promoting philanthropic support for TCU Athletics.
• Skill in working in a team environment.
• Skill in the Adobe Creative Suite, including, but not limited to, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and After Effects.
• Ability to use data and analytics to make informed business decisions.
• Ability to complete basic web coding (I.e. HTML, etc.).
• Ability to meet deadlines and work productively in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:

• Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
• There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
• This is an on-campus, in-person position.
• Attendance at some home athletic events is expected.
