General Description** :**
Tennessee Athletics is seeking to fill one full-time position as either an Assistant Director of Compliance or Associate Director of Compliance. This position serves as a member of the compliance team and reports to the Sr. Director for Compliance. This position works in conjunction with the Compliance Office staff to implement NCAA, SEC and University of Tennessee rules and regulations. This position provides interpretations of NCAA and SEC legislation to coaches, administrators, student-athletes and boosters as needed and also serves as a liaison between the Compliance Office and coaching staffs, sport administrators and other University entities.

Serve as a Bylaw Practitioner for NCAA Bylaw 14 (Eligibility): Assist with monitoring and documenting legislative requirements and procedural matters related to NCAA Bylaw 14 for select sports including, but not limited to:

Serve as Bylaw Practitioner for NCAA Bylaw 12 (Amateurism and Athletics Eligibility): Monitor and document legislative requirements and procedural matters related to NCAA Bylaw 12 for select sports including, but not limited to:
Serve as Sport Facilitator for select sports and Administrative Facilitator for select Athletics Department constituents:
Assist with operation of player-guest and prospective student-athlete ticket lists as determined by the Sr. Associate Athletics Director for Compliance
Assist with preparation and submission of annual NCAA Sport Sponsorship and Demographic Forms
Represent the Compliance Office on the Eligibility Committee and Compliance Review Committee
Assist the Senior Woman Administrator with Title IX roster management
Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Education:
· MBA or Master’s Degree in Sport Administration (related field may be substituted) or Juris Doctorate Degree is preferred.
To qualify for the Assistant Director of Compliance , here is our list of required experience :
· Experience working with student-athletes, coaches and officials regarding compliance issues.
While not required experience, we have some preferred experience qualifications:
· A minimum of 1-3 years in NCAA administration or compliance
· A strong understanding of the rules and regulations associated with the NCAA and SEC programs
· Experience working efficiently with student-athletes, coaches and officials regarding compliance issues
· Working knowledge of LSDBi and the NCAA Eligibility Center
· Working knowledge of Frontrush and Banner
· Experience with NCAA Bylaws 12 (Amateurism) and 14 (Academic Eligibility)
To qualify for the Associate Director of Compliance , in addition to the required education and experience above, applicants must also meet the first four bullet points under the preferred experience qualifications.
