Oversee all aspects of playing and practice seasons as well as expenses for practice and competition; including but not limited to team travel, other events, and outside competition. Review and process requests related to team travel and vacation period expenses for student-athletes and analyze associated documents, policies, and procedures. Oversee review process for outside speaking engagements, donation/fundraising requests, and promotional activity requests. Provide related education and interpretations to coaches, staff, student-athletes, and fans/boosters and assist with NCAA and Big Ten Conference waiver requests and violation reports. This position will work with NCAA Bylaws 11, 12, 16, 17, and 20 and assist as needed with Bylaw 13. Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of full-time experience working in an Intercollegiate Athletics Compliance setting. Comprehensive knowledge of NCAA rules. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer skills, analytical and research skills. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and attention to detail is necessary.
Ideal candidate will have Master’s Degree or Juris Doctorate (JD)
