The Assistant Director of Creative Content will serve as a key member on the University of North Florida Athletic Department external operations team providing creative content in the areas of video production, photography, graphic design, social media, and publications.
Essential Duties
Videography and photographyThe Athletics Creative Content Coordinator is the point person for creative content creation used for social media, web and in-house events. The Athletics Creative Content Coordinator works behind the camera and in the editing process, shooting green screen material, promotional content, live events and select road events. Events can include games, practices, special events and travel.This person will work on assigned feature projects, working in tandem with athletics creative content coordinator, communications and marketing to handle content creation for both areas. The Athletics Creative Content Manager has a direct hand in the storytelling and branding of the athletic department, its student-athletes and teams.The Creative Content Manager aids in making organic content but also in sponsorship fulfillment.

Motion GraphicsIn this role, this person shoots and designs content used in motion graphics for social media and in-house purposes. The Athletics Creative Content Manager is the lead designer for video board, ribbon board and scorer’s table content.

ManagementThe Athletics Creative Content Manager works with the coordinator, graphic designers and photographers to plan out creative content and the look throughout the year. This person works with athletics communications and broadcast to manage and archive photos, design templates and video for archives and future use. The Athletics Creative Content Manager has management responsibility over the athletics creative content coordinator, interns, and OPS employees. This person will train, recruit and manage student staff to assist in the office and at events. Works with graphic designers and photographers to plan out creative content and look throughout the year — sharing various design elements in content.

Provide event support and coverage for the marketing and communications offices during certain points of the year.
This position requires either (a) Master’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and two years of experience directly related to the job functions; (b) Bachelor’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and four years of experience directly related to the job functions; or (c ) 8 years of direct experience.

Ability to work as a member of a team with diverse personalities and backgrounds. The successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong working knowledge of video editing software/programs; strong computer background with a working knowledge of Adobe software, and other graphic design software; ability to work with coaches, student-athletes, students and university administration to complete a wide variety of tasks; ability and willingness to work long hours and weekends when the job requires; must demonstrate a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations as it pertains to athletic department personnel.
This position requires a background check. In conjunction with the University’s policy, this position may also require a credit check.The holder of this position is responsible for any NCAA and ASUN Conference bylaws and guidelines that a member of the UNF Athletic Compliance Department provides in addition to all UNF regulations. The individual must also assure that NCAA, Conference and UNF regulations are followed to the best of their knowledge and any violations thereof are reported to UNF Athletic Compliance.This position has been designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). This position has been designated as a CSA because it involves significant responsibility for student and campus activities and/or responsibility for campus security. As such, any person in this position must report to the University Police Department a crime or an incident that might be a crime that he/she becomes aware of. This position has a reporting requirement because the University believes that responsibility for students, campus activities and/or campus security will make the holder of this position someone members of the University community will see as an authority figure and someone to whom they can seek help. A CSA is not expected to investigate or determine whether a criminal incident actually took place. A CSA’s responsibility is a duty to report. All positions designated as CSAs are required to complete an online or in-person training session. For more information concerning the training sessions or CSAs, please contact the University Police Department at (904) 620-2800 or the Office of the General Counsel at (904) 620-2828.The holder of this position is designated as a “Responsible Employee” pursuant to their role under Title IX. Therefore, the incumbent must promptly report allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and child sexual abuse by or against any student, employee, contractor, or visitor to the University’s Title IX Administrator or any divisional Title IX Coordinator.
