The Assistant Director of Creative Video conceptualizes, executes, and delivers creative video content for Colorado State University Athletics. Individual’s primary duty involves the performance of work requiring imagination, originality, and talent in creation of artistic video content that enhances and extends the Colorado State Athletics brand; individual also collaborates with multiple internal and external constituent groups to identify and capture stories; institutes best practices; assists with development of unit workflows to produce ample and timely content; is actively involved in the game-day atmosphere; and cultivates fan engagement and affinity through effective story telling.
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in video production, communications, marketing, business management, fine arts or any other field related to duties and responsibilities
Experience employing and/or operating various cameras, lighting, audio, and other video production equipment required
Minimum of 1 year of previous experience in video production (intern, GA, and professional experience applicable)
Ability to adapt to the ever-changing video production industry
Ability to work on projects individually as well as within a team
Ability to bring fruition to creative ideas
Excellent attention to detail as well as strong organizational and planning skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of applicable
NCAA
rules and regulations; willingness to report any rules violations; commitment to the Department’s culture of compliance
Commitment to performing duties within the parameters of institutional control and to conduct all activities in compliance with
NCAA
, Mountain West conference and Colorado State University rules and regulations
Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license or access to a licensed driver by the employment start date
Experience working in intercollegiate athletics, professional sports, or related design/production entity strongly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of, and relevant ability with, culturally diverse communities among potential target and constituent populations.
