Job Description:
Longwood University invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Assistant Director of Development - Athletics (FA063) in Institutional Advancement. The Assistant Director will be responsible for the planning and execution of shared experiences for Longwood Athletics donors and stakeholders as well as the management of a comprehensive donor relations engagement plan, including acknowledgements and fulfillment of appreciation packages and communications. Key functions include the management of game day donor hospitality events. Must have the ability to work evenings and weekends as required. This position will report to the Associate Vice President of Development and work collaboratively and strategically with other fundraising professionals, campus partners, faculty, staff, volunteers, and university leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and manage all game day hospitality
Plan and manage all athletics donor-based events (home and away)
Liaison for sports giving societies
Initiate and execute special appeals for targeted group of athletic donors
